Girl students grabbed the first and the second positions in the annual
examinations of Secondary School Certificate part-II (class-X) science and
general groups as the results announced by the Board of Intermediate and
Secondary Education (BISE), Sukkur, on Monday.
In science group, Fareeha Tabbasum of Mazhar Muslim Model School Ranipur stood
first by securing 781 marks while her schoolmate Saadia Hameed clinched the
second position by securing 776 marks. The third position was secured by Hassan
Atta Mehdi of the same school with 773 marks.
Total 49,062 boys and girls appeared in the examination and of them 1,856
candidates passed the exam in Grade-A1; 8,626 in Grade-A; 11,970 in Grade-B;
10,643 in Grade-C; 3,603 in Grade-D and 19 candidates were declared pass in
Grade-E.
Of the total, 11,949 candidates were declared fail while the result of 339
candidates was withheld for cheating in exams and of 55 candidates for different
reasons.
Total pass percentage remained 74.84. The pass percentage of girls was 83.62
while that of boys was 71.12.In General Group, total 3,402 boys and girls
appeared in the examination and of them 602 candidates were passed in Grade-B,
1,337 in Grade-C, 706 in Grade-D and 16 candidates were passed in Grade-E.
Total 2,260 candidates were passed and 563 candidates were declared fail. The
result of 141 candidates was withheld in copying cases while result of 38
candidates was withheld for different reasons.
Total pass percentage remained as 78.19. The pass percentage of girls was 82.49
while that of boys was 77.42.
