Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Friday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has spent 33 percent amount of the Ehsaas program on Sindh.
According to the details, while addressing a function of the Kamayab Jawan Program in Sukkur, poor segments in other countries were pushed back during the lockdowns but PTI government came up with the Ehsaas program to provide relief to the masses.
Imran Khan expressed his pleasure over visiting interior Sindh. Was fighting the biggest mafias in Punjab and could not focus on Sindh, he added. The Prime Minister added that
He said that people in Sindh are deprived of basic amenities, adding that his government will help youth, in setting up their own businesses.
Imran Khan said that by learning skills the youth will become an asset of the country. ‘We have to put full emphasis on the training of the youth,’ said the Prime Minister.
While speaking on the matter of Bundal Island, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he is unable to understand why the government of Sindh backed off from the development of Bundal Island despite issuing NOC.
He said that the investors were ready to invest around Rs 40 billion for the development of the island, but the Sindh government cancelled the project.
Let it be known that the Prime Minister along with the members of the federal cabinet namely Sania Nishtar, Muhammad Mian Soomro, Usman Dar and others reached Sukkur on a day-long visit.
As per schedule, Imran Khan will also hold meetings with the leadership of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s local leaders.
Moreover, in the evening, PM Imran Khan will attend a fundraising Iftar dinner organized by Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) in Karachi. Imran Khan will announce Rs 446 billion development package for Sindh as well.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Imran Khan also review the progress on the federally-funded projects in Sindh.
