As the much-awaited festival of Eid ul Adha approaches, individuals, especially children, are eagerly preparing to purchase sacrificial animals. In an effort to facilitate this process, the Sindh government has designated eight specific locations in Karachi where cattle markets will be established. The aim is to prevent issues like traffic congestion, unhygienic conditions, and security concerns associated with unauthorized markets.
To ensure an organized and hassle-free experience, the government has implemented Section 144, a legal provision that restricts the establishment of cattle markets in unauthorized areas. This step has been taken to safeguard public safety and enhance the overall experience for everyone involved. Violations of Section 144 may result in legal action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
