Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday said Pakistan values its bilateral relations with Russia adding we are committed to promoting bilateral cooperation with Russia in multilateral fields.
Foreign Minister expressed these views while talking to his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov over the phone. The two leaders discussed issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations and the promotion of cooperation in various fields.
On the occasion, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that bilateral relations were further strengthened with the visit of Russian Foreign Minister to Pakistan, Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline Project is a very positive development, he added.
The Foreign Minister said that we look forward to the early launch of this project to promote cooperation in the energy sector. We welcome the lifting of the ban on rice imports from Pakistan by Russia.

The two Foreign Ministers agreed to make joint efforts to increase the volume of bilateral trade between Pakistan and Russia.
Both ministers agreed to continue consultations on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
FM Qureshi lauded the Russian Foreign Minister for Pakistan's assistance in curbing the spread of Coronavirus.
