Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Friday said that any attempt to paralyze the state will not be tolerated.
According to the details, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid visited CMH and District Headquarters Hospital Rawalpindi where he inquired about the health of security officials who were severely injured during the protests by Tehreek e Labbaik Pakistan this week.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that said that the law enforcement agencies had done a great job in maintaining law and order and the officers had shown courage and bravery during the violent clashes.
He said that the officials had patiently resisted the violent actions of the workers of the banned organization.
It may be recalled that Lahore Police on Monday this week arrested Saad Hussain Rizvi, chief of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and son of late cleric Khadim Hussain Rizvi.
Rizvi called on the government to honour what he said was a commitment it made in February to his party to expel the French envoy before April 20 over the publication in France of depictions of the Prophet. The government has said it only committed to discuss the matter in Parliament.
Federal Cabinet then on Thursday approved the proposal to impose ban on TLP for killing two policemen, attacking law enforcement forces and disrupting public life through nationwide protests.
