Take a pan and melt the butter. Add the brown sugar and cook till it dissolves. Add the pineapple, raisins, bananas and dates. Cook for a further 2-3 minutes. Grease a mould and sprinkle some sugar. Pour the fruit mixture in the mould; make sure that it is leveled .In a bowl crack open the eggs and add the crushed almonds and sugar. Beat with an electric beater.
When the sugar dissolves add the plain flour and baking powder. In the end add the melted butter. Pour the batter into the cake mould and heat in a pre hated oven at 180C for 25-30 minutes. When the cake is done and is golden brown in color remove from the oven and allow it to cool. Turn the mould upside down and serve.
