Ingredients
  1. 1 lb. cabbage 4 onions
  2. 1 green chilli
  3. ½ -inch fresh root ginger
  4. Oil for frying
  5. 2 cloves
  6. 1 cardamom
  7. small stick cinnamom
  8. 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  9. 2 teaspoons ground coriander seeds
  10. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  11. 1 lb. uncooked lamb, minced
  12. salt to taste
  13. 1 tablespoon desiccated coconut
  14. juice of ½ lemon
Method
  • Shred the cabbage finely, wash and set aside. Finely mince the onions, green chilli and ginger together then fry with cloves, cardamom and cinnamon until lightly brown. Add the chilli powder, corian¬der and turmeric and cook for five minutes. Add the meat and salt. Cover with a lid and simmer until the meat in nearly cooked. Add the cabbage and coconut. Continue to cook until the cabbage is ready. Squeeze lemon juice into the pan and mix well. Serve with roti and chutney.
