Chef Mehdi

Chef Mehdi is a well-known name in the culinary industry of Pakistan. He is a specialized chef from Lenoter School and has had the wide-ranging experience of more than 25 years in different culinary organizations together locally and globally. Chef Mehdi has been managing his outlet Desserts which focuses on some mouth-watering sweets and entire bakery items for the last 10 years. He also used to come into view in a daily live cooking show “Dastarkhuwan” on Zaiqa TV - one of the premier names in Pakistan as he is renowned for his culinary, principally in Desserts.

Chef Mehdi relates to a middle-class family in Karachi, from where he completed his early education and accomplished graduation in 1976. He started a job at Pearl Continental Hotels in 1979 then immediately was offered a job in Abu Dhabi. His major participation was in the vegetable section of the industry in Abu Dhabi. He served in different hotel chains namely Novotel, Sofitel, and Marcus for the next 20 years. When he returned to Pakistan he started his own bakery Desserts which is famous for its delicious pastries, mouth-watering cakes, and western sweets items.

His biggest achievements include: In 1987 Mehdi was awarded a silver medal in his progress of making sugar tree which took him one month to complete.
