Ingredients
  1. ½ teaspoon dilweed
  2. ½ teaspoon salt
  3. 13 oz evaporated milk
  4. 1/3 cup margarine
  5. 1/3 cup enriched corn meal
  6. ¼ cup cold water
  7. 10 oz frozen chopped broccoli thawed
  8. 7 ounces ( 1 can) tuna, flaked, drained
  9. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  10. Lemon wedges, to serve
  11. ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
Method
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Mix corn meal, flour and ¼ teaspoon salt.
  • Cut margarine until the mix looks like coarse crumbs.
  • Add one tablespoon water at a time, lightly stirring with the fork until the whole mixture shapes like a ball.
  • Roll out the pastry on any lightly floured surface to shape a 12 inch circle. Now fit this loosely into the 9-inch glass pie plate.
  • Trim the edges under and flute.
  • Now place broccoli in between the layers of the paper towels.
  • Pat gently to soak the excess water. Mix the broccoli, ¼
  • teaspoon salt and all the remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  • Pour in the whole mixture into the pastry shell and then bake for 1 hour.Allow to stand for another 10 minutes, later serve with the lemon wedges.
