Surah Hajj Ayat 11 in Arabic
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنۡ يَّعۡبُدُ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى حَرۡفٍۚ فَاِنۡ اَصَابَهٗ خَيۡرٌ ۨاطۡمَاَنَّ بِهٖۚ وَاِنۡ اَصَابَتۡهُ فِتۡنَةُ ۨانقَلَبَ عَلٰى وَجۡهِهٖۚ خَسِرَ الدُّنۡيَا وَالۡاٰخِرَةَ ؕ ذٰلِكَ هُوَ الۡخُسۡرَانُ الۡمُبِيۡنُ ﴿۱۱﴾
Surah Hajj Ayat 11 with Urdu Translation
اور کچھ آدمی اللہ کی بندگی ایک کنارہ پر کرتے ہیں (ف۳۰) پھر اگر انہیں کوئی بھلائی پہنچ گئی جب تو چین سے ہیں اور جب کوئی جانچ آکر پڑی (ف۳۱) منہ کے بل پلٹ گئے، ف۳۲) دنیا اور آخرت دونوں کا گھاٹا (ف۳۳) یہی ہے صر یح نقصان (ف۳۴) ﴿۱۱﴾

اور لوگوں میں بعض ایسا بھی ہے جو کنارے پر (کھڑا ہو کر) خدا کی عبادت کرتا ہے۔ اگر اس کو کوئی (دنیاوی) فائدہ پہنچے تو اس کے سبب مطمئن ہوجائے اور اگر کوئی آفت پڑے تو منہ کے بل لوٹ جائے (یعنی پھر کافر ہوجائے) اس نے دنیا میں بھی نقصان اٹھایا اور آخرت میں بھی۔ یہی تو نقصان صریح ہے ﴿۱۱﴾

Surah Hajj Ayat 11 with English Translation
And among mankind is he who worshippeth Allah upon a narrow marge so that if good befalleth him he is content therewith, but if a trial befalleth him, he falleth away utterly. He loseth both the world and the Hereafter. That is the sheer loss. ﴾11﴿
