Surah Baqarah Ayat 240 in Arabic
وَالَّذِيۡنَ يُتَوَفَّوۡنَ مِنۡکُمۡ وَيَذَرُوۡنَ اَزۡوَاجًا ۖۚ وَّصِيَّةً لِّاَزۡوَاجِهِمۡ مَّتَاعًا اِلَى الۡحَـوۡلِ غَيۡرَ اِخۡرَاجٍ ۚ فَاِنۡ خَرَجۡنَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيۡکُمۡ فِىۡ مَا فَعَلۡنَ فِىۡٓ اَنۡفُسِهِنَّ مِنۡ مَّعۡرُوۡفٍؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَزِيۡزٌ حَکِيۡمٌ ﴿۲۴۰﴾
Surah Baqarah Ayat 240 with Urdu Translation
اور جو تم میں مریں اور بیبیاں چھوڑ جائیں، وہ اپنی عورتوں کے لئے وصیت کرجائیں (ف۴۸۸) سال بھر تک نان نفقہ دینے کی بے نکالے (ف۴۸۹) پھر اگر وہ خود نکل جائیں تو تم پر اس کا مؤاخذہ نہیں جو انہوں نے اپنے معاملہ میں مناسب طور پر کیا، اور اللہ غالب حکمت والا ہے، ﴿۲۴۰﴾

اور جو لوگ تم میں سے مرجائیں اور عورتیں چھوڑ جائیں وہ اپنی عورتوں کے حق میں وصیت کرجائیں کہ ان کو ایک سال تک خرچ دیا جائے اور گھر سے نہ نکالی جائیں۔ ہاں اگر وہ خود گھر سے نکل جائیں اور اپنے حق میں پسندیدہ کام (یعنی نکاح) کرلیں تو تم پر کچھ گناہ نہیں۔ اور خدا زبردست حکمت والا ہے ﴿۲۴۰﴾

Surah Baqarah Ayat 240 with English Translation
(In the case of) those of you who are about to die and leave behind them wives, they should bequeath unto their wives a provision for the year without turning them out, but if they go out (of their own accord) there is no sin for you in that which they do of themselves within their rights. Allah is Mighty, Wise. ﴾240﴿
