Pakistani Mountaineer Sirbaz Khan Ready To Summit Dhaulagiri

Pakistani mountaineer Sirbaz Khan is ready to summit Dhaulagiri, 7th highest peak.

Pakistani mountaineer Sirbaz Khan is set to become the first Pakistani to head nine out of 14 eight-thousanders in the world.

Sirbaz, 33-year-old Pakistani mountaineer arrived at Dhaulagiri Camp 2 on Monday afternoon.

The Hunza-based climber started pushing his peak from base camp on Monday morning. He reached camp 2 in the afternoon. If the weather is favorable, he aims to climb another 8,167 meters on Dhaulagiri.

Sirbaz will become the first Pakistanis to head Dhaulagiri and if they succeed in their summit, he will become the first Pakistanis to head the nine eight-thousanders.

The climber intends to climb the Dhaulagiri without oxygen, as he does not usually use it when climbing mountains.

Earlier, announcing his mission on Instagram, Sirbaz inform it is no longer fully for the record book but it is about the country’s pride.

Enthusiastic mountaineer is waiting to become the first Pakistani to climb all 14 eight-thousanders in the world. Only 44 climbers in the world have done this feat.

In addition to being the first Pakistani to climb Dhaulagiri, the climber have already had the honor of being the first Pakistanis to climb Lhotse and Annapurna mountain.
