Ramadan Moon Not Sighted in Saudi Arabia, 1st Ramadan will be on 23 March

The Supreme Court in Saudi Arabia  has announced that the Ramadan moon is not sighted in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, the first day of fasting will be observed on 23 March 2023.

The moon sighting committee in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia met on 21 March, Tuesday evening to see the Ramadan moon. The sighting was not confirmed by any credible witnesses from different parts of the country.

The government has also announced a number of measures to ensure safe and peaceful Ramadan. Muslims across Saudi Arabia are preparing for the month of Ramadan, which is a time of spiritual reflection and devotion.

In Saudi Arabia, moon sighting is carried out by a committee of religious scholars and astronomers in each major city, including Al Madina, Makkah, Riyadh, and Jeddah. The committee gathers at a specific location to observe the moon and verify its sighting with the naked eye.

The sighting of the Ramadan moon is a crucial occurrence in the Islamic schedule, denoting the start of a month-long time of spiritual rebirth, fasting, and prayer. In the United States, Muslims can rely on the Saudi Arabia Ramadan Calendar 2023 to remain on track with religious obligations at the proper times.
