Pakistan reports less than 50 daily deaths for 10th consecutive day: Coronavirus

In the last 24 hours, Pakistan recorded 38 deaths from COVID-19, according to latest data issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Thursday, 24th June.

This marks the 10th consecutive day when the death toll from the virus has  remained below 50. 

On the other hand, the positivity rate went up to 2.39% from the previous day's 2.04%.

Overall, 46,124 coronavirus tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, out of which 1,097 turned out to be positive. The total number of deaths in the country so far has reached 22,108 and the total number of COVID-19 cases has reached 951,865, while 896,821 people have recovered from the virus till now.

Out of all the provinces, Punjab remains the worst hit. In the last 24 hours most of the deaths took place in Punjab, followed by Sindh. 17 out of the 38 people who passed away from virus were placed on ventilators.
