India registers lowest increase since March with 70,421 new COVID cases

The global death toll from the coronavirus is around 3.8 million, while the overall number of confirmed cases is well over 175 million, according to Johns Hopkins University, which tracks data on the pandemic.

The list of the most affected nations includes the US, India, and Brazil. In the United States, over 33.4 million cases have been confirmed so far, and the death toll from the virus is around 600,000. Next is India, where the number of new cases has been declining after a devastating spike last month, with a total of 29.4 million COVID-19 cases and over 370,000 deaths.

Meanwhile, Brazil has confirmed more than 17.4 million cases and the second-highest death toll in the world of around 487,000.
