کون کہتا ہے جہاں میں عاجزی ماں باپ ہیں
میں تو کہتا ہوں کہ ہر گھر کی خوشی ماں باپ ہیں
جو مہکتی ہے گلابوں کی طرح اولاد میں
گلشنِ قدرت کی ایسی تازگی ماں باپ ہیں
مجھ کو لگ سکتی نہیں ہے اِس زمانہ کی نظر
میں ہوں خوش قسمت میرے سر پر ابھی ماں باپ ہیں
بھیج کر ماں باپ کو گھر سے اندھیرا مت کرو
یہ حقیقت ہے کے گھر کی روشنی ماں باپ ہے
بھول کر ماں باپ کو کیوں پھر رہے ہو دربدر
زندگانی کا خزانہ واقعی ماں باپ ہیں
زندگی قربان کردی جس نے بچوں کے لئے
اب تو سمجھو دوستو کتنے سخی ماں باپ ہیں
کوئی سمجھے یہ نہ سمجھے شاعری شایان یہ
