Ingredients
  1. 2 large herrings
  2. Salt
  3. 1 onion
  4. 1 clove garlic
  5. ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  6. ½ teaspoon garam masala ½ teaspoon chilli powder juice of ½ lemon
  7. Oil for frying
  8. Choppcd coriander leaves
Method
  • Clean and gut the herrings and sprinkle with salt, keep aside. Grate onion and crush garlic and mix with the turmeric, garam masala and chilli powder. Add the lemon juice to make a paste and spread the fish with this mixture inside and outside. Heat some oil in a frying pan and fry the fish on both sides till golden brown. Sprinkle with chopped coriander leaves.
