Ingredients
  1. ½ kg boiled rice
    250 grams tomatoes
    6 curry leaves
    6 green chilies
    1 cup oil
    ½ bunch coriander
    1 tsp red chili powder
    1 tsp turmeric powder
    1 tsp salt
    ½ tsp mustard seeds
    ½ tsp fenugreek seeds
    ½ onion seeds
    ½ tsp fennel seeds
    2 tbsp lemon juice
Method
  • In a pan, add 1 cup oil and ½ tsp mustard seeds, ½ tsp onion seeds, ½ tsp fenugreek seeds and ½ tsp fennel seeds. Stir together all spices until they are fragrant. Then add 250 grams tomatoes, 6 green chilies, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp red chili powder and 6 curry leaves. Stir together briefly. Now add ½ kg boiled rice and allow simmering for 10 minutes. Delicious Pickled Rice is ready to serve.
