Ingredients
  1. 1 onion
  2. 2 green chillis
  3. 1-inch root ginger
  4. 1 clove garlic
  5. 2 teaspoons chopped coriander leaves 1 ¼ lb. lean beef, minced
  6. ½ teaspoon ground cummin seeds 1 teaspoon ground coriander seeds
  7. ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  8. ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  9. ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  10. 1 egg
  11. 2 slices white bread, crumbed
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Oil for frying
  14. 4 cartons yoghurt
Method
  • Mince the onion, chillis, ginger and garlic. Put into a bowl with all the ingredients except the yoghurt. Mix well and shape into walnut-sized balls. Fry in hot oil and when brown drain well. Put yoghurt into a bowl and beat well. Add the meat balls while still hot. Chill and serve cold. If liked add raisins and blanched almonds for extra flavour.
