Ingredients
  1. 1 Chicken (cut into pieces)
  2. 1 tbsp Cooking Oil
  3. ½ Cup Yogurt
  4. 2 Onions
  5. 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic Paste
  6. 3 Green Cardamoms
  7. 5 Cloves
  8. 6 Black Peppercorns
  9. 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  10. 2 tsp. Coriander seeds
  11. 2 sticks of Cinnamon
  12. 6 Green chilies
  13. 1 bunch of Coriander leaves
  14. 1 bunch of Mint leaves
  15. 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  16. 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  17. 1 tsp Black Pepper
  18. Salt to taste
Method
  • 1- Prepare the green paste by grind the green chilies, coriander, mint and onions to a fine paste.
  • 2- Marinate the chicken pieces with ginger-garlic paste, yogurt and the green paste for an hour.
  • 3- Grind the cinnamon, cloves, cardamoms, black pepper, cumin seeds and coriander seeds to a fine powder.
  • 4- Heat oil in the pan. Add the chicken and fry for 10-15 minutes.
  • 5- Add turmeric powder and salt.
  • 6- Sauté for 5-6 minutes and add about 2 cups of water. Allow it to cook until the chicken becomes tender.
  • 7- Add the powdered spices. Cook till the gravy or curry becomes thick.
  • 8- Serve hot with rice or naan.
