Ingredients
  1. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  2. I teaspoon chilli powder
  3. ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper ½- inch fresh root ginger, finely grated salt to taste
  4. vinegar to mix
  5. 1 lb. lambs' liver
  6. Oil for frying
  7. 1 onion, finely sliced
  8. 1 clove garlic, crushed
  9. 2 green chillis, slit lengthwise
  10. 2 tomatoes, skinned and chopped salt to taste
Method
  • Mix the turmeric, chilli powder, black pepper, ginger and salt with a little vinegar to make a paste. Cut the liver into 4-inch thick slices. Wash and dry then rub some of the paste into each slice. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and fry the liver. When cooked remove and set aside. In the same pan fry the onion, garlic and chillis gently, until onions are soft but not brown. Add the tomatoes and saltl. Cook for a few minutes until tomatoes are pulped. Add the liver, reheat and serve.
