Ingredients
  1. ½ oz. fresh mint
  2. ½ oz. fresh root ginger
  3. 1 dessertspoon ground white cummin seeds
  4. ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  5. ½ teaspoon garam masala
  6. 2 teasp ikons salt
  7. 2 teaspAns sugar
  8. 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  9. 1 ½ pints (U.S. 3f cups) water
  10. * 2 oz. tamarind, soaked in
  11. ¾ pint (U.S. 2 cups) water overnight.
  12. FOR THE GARNISH
  13. Slices of lemon and mint leaves
Method
  • *Squeeze the tamarind and discard the husk. Strain the liquid before use.
  • Chop mint and ginger. Mix with all the other in¬gredients. Add to the tamarind water and mix well. Taste and adjust the seasoning. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours and serve in small glasses without stirring.
