Ingredients
  1. Gram flour  2 cups
    Semolina 1cup
    Sugar 2 cups
    Small  cardamom 8
    Water  1/2cup
    Oil 1 cup
    Finely chopped almonds and pistachios as required
    Silver paper  as required
Method
  • Heat 1 cup oil in a wok and fry the small 8 green cardamoms
    When the aroma is given out add 1 cup semolina and 2 cups gram flour
    Fry until the color of the gram flour and semolina starts to change
    In a saucepan dissolve 2 cups sugar with1 /2 cup water to prepare the sugar syrup
    Add the sugar syrup to the gram flour and semolina mixture and fry well
    When the oil starts to form a  layer on top transfer and spread the halwa in a flat tray
    Allow to set and cut into squares
