| Islamabad Weather - Islamabad with a population of 1.15 million people is the tenth largest city of Pakistan. Islamabad is the capital, a hub of political activities. Bureaucracy & Supreme Court also operates from Islamabad. Islamabad has an unusual version of a humid subtropical climate, with warm and dry springs, hot and humid summers followed by a monsoon season, and brief but cool winters. The monsoon season starts from July through September, with heavy rain falls and evening thunderstorms quickly flooding the area, Islamabad received a record breaking 620 millimeters (24 in) of rainfall in just 10 hours. It was the most rainfall in Islamabad in the last 100 years and the highest rainfall in 24 hours as well. Winters come about from Dec to Feb, with temperatures changing according to location, normally with opaque fog in the mornings and sunny afternoons. The weather ranges from 13 °C (55 °F) in January to 38 °C (100 °F) in June. The city has never recorded snowfall.
