ISLAMABAD: Girls managed to grab the maximum top positions in the matric exam
held by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi.
All three positions in the general group and top two positions in the science
group were secured by girls.
According to details of position holders announced on Friday, Noor Fatima of
Siddeeq Public School came first overall by obtaining 1,072 marks. She was
followed by Syeda Ayesha Fawad Bukhari of the same school, who obtained 1,066
marks. Talha Abdullah, a student of Cadet College Hassanabdal, got the overall
third position, securing 1,064 marks.
Complete results will be announced on Saturday.
In girls’ science group, Noor Fatima got the first position followed by Syeda
Ayesha while Bibi Javeria Rana of Sir Syed Public School came third with 1,063
marks. Among boys, Talha Abdullah of Cadet College Hassanabdal secured the first
position followed by Muhammad Taimur Malik of the same college, who secured
1,063 marks. Hussain Ahmed of Radiant Public School Rawalpindi stood third with
1,062 marks.
In general group girls category, Arshia Ehsan of Grammar Public School
Rawalpindi got first position by obtaining 1,024 marks followed by Huma Uroos of
Government Girls High School Gujar Khan, who got 1,013 marks. Mahnoor Bilal of
Grammar Public School Rawalpindi came third by getting 1,012 marks.
In general group boys category, Anasur Rehman of Government Islamia Higher
Secondary School Jhelum stood first with 967 marks, Muhammad Asad Ali of
Government High School Bhatiot (Attock) came second with 934 marks and Muhammad
Aqeel of Nammal School and College Gujar Khan got third position by getting 912
marks.
