Islamabad: The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has set up points for sale of admission forms at its main campus in Islamabad and 44 regional campuses and 122 coordination offices across the country in order to facilitate students at their doorsteps. Admission forms from matriculation to master’s level programmes can be submitted along with prescribed fee in countrywide branches of Bank Al-Falah, Habib Bank Limited, First Women Bank and Allied Bank and at nominated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Muslim Commercial Bank. The detail of designated branches is available in prospectuses as well as in regional offices. The last date for submission of admission forms is September 5. According to the AIOU director admissions, PhD, MS-MPhil, MSc (Statistics), COL (MBA-MPA) and LLM-MS Shari’ah have been offered on merit basis. All those interested in admissions in these programmes should send their admission forms directly to their concerned departments without admission fee according to procedures laid down in the prospectus. From the current Autumn Semester 2014, there will be no requirement of NTS-GAT (general-subject) for admissions in PhD and MS-MPhil programmes. However, entry test will be conducted by the concerned department, he added.
