Supreme Court will not interfere in economic matters: Chief Justice
During the hearing on Jamaat-e-Islami's application against the privatization of K-Electric in the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice remarked that Parliament made two laws related to Clause 3 of Article 184, setting old cases to see whether the issue is fresh or not.

When the petitioner's lawyer requested to adjourn the hearing till next week, the Chief Justice said that vacations are starting next week, there will be no judges, it has been eighteen years since the privatization of K Electric, you should take the instructions and hear the case tomorrow. 

It should be noted that Jamaat-e-Islami filed an application against the privatization of K Electric in 2015, a three-member bench headed by the Chief Justice is hearing the case. Justice Ayesha Malik and Justice Athar Minullah are part of the bench. The Supreme Court has issued notices to all parties, including the government, Attorney General, K Electric.
