PU:Launching of a new 4-years BS degree programme

Punjab University’s Board of Faculty of Life Sciences has approved the launching of a new 4-years BS degree programme “Molecular Biology & Forensic Sciences”. Dean Faculty of Life Sciences Prof Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan chaired the meeting. The new programme will be offered by the PU Centre of Applied Molecular Biology. Prof Dr Naeem Khan said the four-year degree programme was the need of the hour as Pakistan was facing terrorism and modern techniques and knowledge of forensic sciences played vital role in investigation of various crimes. He said the new degree programme would help in identifying the culprits involved in various crimes. He said health and agriculture sectors would also benefit from the degree programme designed on modern lines.
