Free education for 10 Kashmiris at PU
LAHORE: The Punjab University has announced provision of free education to 10 students from occupied Kashmir for the ongoing academic year. “The Punjab University will provide free education and hostel facilities to 10 students from the held Kashmir. It will also allocate funds for research on Kashmir dispute,” Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran said. Speaking at a two-day national conference on “Indian atrocities in Kashmir: regional and global implications” at the varsity here on Wednesday, Prof Kamran requested Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to send Mushaal Mullick abroad to tell the world about Indian brutalities in the held Kashmir. “To fan terrorism and damage CPEC project, India has set up four desks in its intelligence agency. First desk is working to commit terror activities in Balochistan, second on psychological warfare to intensify propaganda against Pakistan army and ISI, third is buying politicians and media and fourth desk has designs in Afghanistan.” The VC said: “We are not supporting Kashmiris to the extent they deserve.” He said Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik was being denied medical facilities Mushaal Mullick, wife of Yasin Malik, said basic human rights were being violated by India in held Kashmir. She said it was not the issue of piece of land but Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
