Mumba Squad, Karachi BC in Basketball Tournament final

LAHORE - Mumba Squad and Karachi Basketball Club reached the final of Defence Day Pakistan Cup Basketball Tournament being played at International Abdul Nasir Basketball Court Karachi. In the first semifinal, Mumba Squad defeated Osman Basketball Club by 51-46. From the winning team, Nauman Ahmed Awan scored 20 points, M Talha 17 and Zakaria Khan 14 points. From losing club, Hamza Khoja scored 14 points, Bazid Khan 12 and Mubariz Ahmed 10 points. In the second semifinal, Karachi Basketball Club defeated Arambagh Club by 46-38. Rajkumar Lakhwani scored 19 points, Daniyal Ahmed 15 and Zainul Abedin 11 points. From the losing club, Salahuddin scored 13, Hasan Ali and Hasan Qadia struck 10 points each. SSP Saddar Ali Mardan graced the occasion as chief guest and he was introduced with both the teams in the presence of KBBA President Ghulam Muhammad Khan, MCB Vice President Muhammad Haider Khan, UBL’s Zulfiqar Abbas Khan and Tariq Hussain.
