What does Apple iPhone 8 has for us?

Apple is planning to break the previous tradition and launch three phones in today’s launch: the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Usually Apple launches a design for a year and come up with slight upgrades in the next year. Following this logic, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are anticipated to feature minor upgrades to the iPhone 7, such as a faster chip and longer battery life.

The latest leaks suggest the new iPhone depicts that the phone will have a wireless battery charging feature, facial recognition, and edge to edge display and most drastic change will be NO home button.

When will it be released?

Tim Cook is expected to unveil the new Apple iPhone 8 at an event held in California on September 12 2017. The invitations for the event have been sent earlier in August to journalists for the launch event at Apple Park headquarters at 10 am Eastern Time.

According to the traditions, the devices will go on sale a week after their launch announcement. Therefore, the iPhone 8 will be available for pre-order on September 15th 2017 and hit stores on Friday September 22nd 2017.

How much will it cost?

The Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus models are expected to be available in greater numbers and are likely to be cheaper, close to the current iPhone 7 and 7 Plus prices of £599 and £719.

The iPhone X however will probably be Apple's most expensive handset of the year, with estimates suggesting it could cost $1,000 in the US.

An official at Apple has suggested the high-end device will "not be cheap" at all.
