8 – Problems in Elementary School

Elementary Schools are that kinds, which provide education to children generally - up to eight years. Elementary age of children is a crucial and difficult age as to conceive and understand their mental approaches is not an easy task that requires a lot of patience, love and expertise. Some students belong to elementary age do not have balanced sense and ability; consequently to deal with those kinds of students requires patience, love, qualification and experience of Montessori Education System – a child-centered educational approach that motivates children towards learning. The eighth problems in Elementary School are discussed below:-
1. Poverty: The main problem, which is being faced by elementary school, is poverty as poverty distorts the growth of children due to non-balanced food, shelter and atmosphere. Therefore, the children of public sector Elementary Schools and other institutions are not in a position to get upright learning and training.

2. Proper Building at Suitable Place: The 2nd problem that faces by an elementary school is to obtain a proper building at a suitable place. The building and place play a vital role in imparting education to elementary aged students because if the environment is not decent, enabling and enviable, the beginning students do not take an interest in education.

3. Lack of Patience, Love and Caring: Owing to domestic, national and international issues, people lack patience and love that are essential qualities for teachers of an Elementary School. It is the fact that elementary aged children require much love and caring from all corners, especially from parents and teachers. Besides, the lower aged children are stubborn owing to this, they are treated patiently not rudely as rude attitude frightens them and keeps them away from learning also their process of growth would be affected.

4. Difficult in hiring: The children-oriented trained teachers for an elementary aged are not easily available. All Elementary Schools face much difficulty in hiring Montessori-trained Teachers due to their shortage. Montessori-trained Teachers are integral parts of Elementary School as without them the school cannot teach the children adequately.

5. Difficult Mental Approaches: The Schools or Teachers of Elementary School face difficulties in understanding the mental approaches of children range elementary age – 2.5 to eight years. The Teachers have to work hard to understand the mental approaches of children and when they are capable of understanding the children mental approaches, the teaching becomes easy.

6. Diversion of Attention towards Learning: The elementary aged children are difficult angels as to educate them and the diversion of their attention towards the learning is much tricky job. If teachers of an Elementary School are qualified and have particular expertise, especially a practical or sports skill to deal with children up to eight years, then they will be succeeded in educating elementary aged children and easily divert their attention towards the learning.

7. Double-Sex Education System: The co-education system is not giving the fruitful results, especially in the discipline and teaching scenarios. The mental approaches of the both sexes are different. The both boys and girls require the different treatment that creates much difficulty for all those elementary schools having double-sex education system.

8. Lack of domestic training: The lack of domestic training for lower aged children creates the problem in the Elementary Schools as they do not get any support from the parents of lower aged children. The Parents of elementary aged students must put their share by providing training and caring for their children.
