"No constitutional plan would
be workable or acceptable to the muslim unless geographical contiguous units
are demarcated into region. Those areas in which muslims are in majority
should be grouped to constitute independent state" (Allama Iqbal)
On 23 March 1940, a resolution was passed in Mento park Lahore, this
resolution was called Lahore resolution or Pakistan resolution. This day has
a historical importance for Pakistan, because the foundation of Pakistan was
kept on two nation theory, means the cultural, political, social and all
above religious dissimilarities between two big nations of sub-continent
Muslims and Hindus.After its 7 years, this resolution took it's practical
face in the shape of Pakistan.
Today, after the 77 years, this day has lost its actual meaning, this day is
not a prideful day for us anymore, we took this day only as a general
holiday, feeling of patriotism is seen nowhere. One can say that, we
Pakistani take Pakistan a worse place to live, many problems we are facing
on the daily basis, also are created by our ownself. Everyone is blaming
eachother, fighting over minor issues. Due to these acts, the main problem
continously being arose is, we have lost our social fiber and become
disintegrated.
Before 77 years, we have only one ideology but now we have multiple
ideologies (ideologies on the basis of languages, region, race and
ethnicity). These are the things which are creating a gap between the
practice of two nation theory of that time and present time.
The leading problem of Pakistan is religious extremism, there are many
internal and external factor leading religious extremism similarly, all
aspects of drone attacks and NATO activities are the factors which leads to
furious youth resulting in religious extremism. we are currently facing
various kinds of terriorism with the name of Islam. As a result of which, we
are considered as a home of religi|s extremism.These attacks not only
targeting minorities but mostly the majority. Muslims are more prone to
these attacks.
However, As a nation we are divided into sects, subsects, ethnocentrism, we
are fighting without any discord and terrorist and foreigner powers too,
taking advantages. Making us weak day by day, families are losing their love
ones. These things not only making a negative image of Pakistan in the world
but also giving terrorist a green card to interrupt in our issues.
Many people argue that, Pakistan should not have been separated, but I would
say that it's not the fault of Pakistan but we Pakistani are responsible.
I am looking for another resolution which integrate us and eradicate all the
differences. This remarkable day would celebrate with pride and every
pakistani feel proud to recognize himself as a Pakistani. There is a need to
stand on same platform once again and raise one slogan "Long Live Pakistan"
This should be the resolution of 23 march 2017 for every Pakistani for the
rest of their live.
