Highly Talented People are more successful than the Mediocre Talent

(Wajeeha Nisar Ahmed Khan, Karachi)

While going through different articles related to factors which effect success an idea came into my mind to shed some light on different important facorts which should always remain in focus whenever we discuss factors effecting success.

Underneath is my speculation on these important factors, in which I have tried to explain that being innately talented is not the only factor which helps a person to achieve success or become successful in the long run of life there are a number of other factors which are required to have a successful life.Let’s have a look at it;

Successful people in every field are often said to be "blessed with talent" or even just lucky.

But the truth is, many worked harder than the average person can even imagine.

While pondering upon this topic, I came to the conclusion that in order to be successful talent is not the only requirement. We all know so many talented people around us. A gifted athlete, an eloquent orator, and a God gifted artist or a writer who is not always successful or achieve great things as he is never given a chance by his luck to show up his talent or he has never worked hard to use his talents to fulfill his dreams.

In contrast to this we have witnessed so many people in our lives who do not have much talent or according to our dictionary, they are people with mediocre talent, touch the pinnacle of success just because of their continuous hard work and belief in their self.

Being highly talented is not the only criteria to get success. Your talent only helps you in making a choice, all what you need to achieve your aim is, hard work.

Take the example of Bill Gates.
Gates didn’t seem like a shoe-in for success after dropping out of Harvard and starting a failed first business with Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen called Traf-O-Data. While this early idea didn’t work, Gates’ later work did, creating the global empire that is Microsoft.
There is another example of a famous inventor,

Thomas Edison: In his early years, teachers told Edison he was “too stupid to learn anything.” Work was no better, as he was fired from his first two jobs for not being productive enough. Even as an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. Of course, all those unsuccessful attempts finally resulted in the design that worked.

There is a list of names in the history which prove the importance of hard work for success.

So to be successful, one of the keys is to have Belief in oneself and in the Almighty Lord. It is the belief in oneself and what they are attempting to accomplish that sees them through.

Passion is another factor which helps to attain the desired goal.I can honestly say that I have never met a person of great achievement, or even one who I believe someday will achieve greatness, who has not possessed a bounty of passion. This “fire within” sustains people to continue, never giving up their hopes and dreams. Without it, they may have quit or moved on to something else where they would have been merely average. Passion provides them energy and will power to work long hours.

Than Perseverance and ability to sustain the hard work until the job is done is another factor which is required to achieve success.

Successful people finish things. They never give up. They know there is no success without it.

And one most important thing in this connection that we should never forget that, it was the reward of Belief, Hard work, Passion and Perseverance which made Prophet Muhammed SAW successful in winning the hearts of crude people of Arabia and with the help of these factors he was able to spread the message of Allah SWT in the world.

Here I’m concluding this article with the quotation of a famous author Patrick Süskind and leave the decision on my readers to think how far they agree with my point of view.
“...talent means nothing, while experience, acquired in humility and with hard work, means everything.”
