What exactly is Princess of Hope?
In the midst of Makran coastal highway and approximately 190 kilometers
away from Karachi, there stands a princess statue, wearing a royal robe
and a hood. Princess of Hope is the name given by famous Hollywood
actress Angelina Jolie during her visit to Pakistan. Before that no one
exactly knows about this statue that stood in the wilderness along the
coast of the Arabian Sea. The fast wind whistled around her, teased her
but she could not stop the winds as the fast blowing winds swept past
her and blew dust around her. It is a lonely place, and her companion in
the area is huge Sphinx of Giza, Egypt like feature who snared her
loneliness. According to some historians, this statue is said to be more
than 750 years old.

You will be surprised to know that “Princess of Hope” statue is not
manmade. The coast of Makran has muddy hills with very fast winds
blowing throughout the year. These fast winds cut through the muddy
hills and mountains and can result in a natural rock formation shaped
like a standing lady (Princess of Hope) or sphinx. The Natural Sphinx is
obviously not as sharply carved as the sphinx in Egypt however this is
worth seeing once in a lifetime.
