The question arises how come poverty stricken India can produce IT professionals of this sort? The answer lies in their effective Indian Education System. India possesses one of the largest higher education systems with 1.4 million schools and more than 35000 higher education institutes. According to a report by India Brand Equity Foundation, India’s technology and BPM sector is estimated to have generated US$ 146 billion revenue during FY15 compared to US$ 118 billion in FY14, implying a growth rate of 23.72 per cent. India is currently classified as world's largest sourcing destination for the information technology (IT) industry that accounts for approximately 52 per cent of the US$ 124-130 billion market.

Considering the facts stated above, Indians truly have the potential talent that has the ability to astonish world.

India /Pakistan – the rivalry continues

Both arch rival nations have been known for their conflicts since the time of partition. For longer period of time, Indians failed to even recognize Pakistan as an independent state. This mentality has led to 4 wars in which both states have claimed victories on their side. But are we only comparable in terms of war statistics? No! There are more grounds we need to focus on. Both countries gained independence together but unfortunately, Pakistan failed to match the pace of India’s economic growth. Indians cashed their established education system beautifully by investing money and improving their standards. Pakistan on the contrary failed to rebuild the educational infrastructure and failed to establish quality education standards in the country. We failed to establish international level engineering universities and IT institutes, where as India has over 82 engineering & technology universities and institutes.

Pakistani Education System

Considering the lack of proper education system in Pakistan, we failed to produce technology experts that can benefit the country and the world. Previously Pakistani education system lacked due to proper planning, social constraints, gender gap, cost of education, war on terror, funds for education, lack of provision for technical education are some of the major issues that made our education system suffer.
It seems like government has realized that in order to make our presence noticeable in the world, we need to focus on rebuilding the education system. The year 2015 is significant in this regard. The government focuses on achieving MDGs of education, Vision 2030 of Planning Commission of Pakistan to promote thinking mind.

Verdict

There is an urgent need for implementation of national education policy and vision 2030 education goals. Corruption in education system is one big factor for the poor literacy rate of Pakistan; a monitoring system is required to identify and punish the black sheep in the system. The government should make sincere efforts to get school buildings vacated which were occupied by feudal lords. Steps should be taken to make policies for Technical and professional education in Pakistan.
