Scientists Discover 8 New Weird and Exotic Animals!

(Source: Shughal)

No longer is the world a mystery some believe. How wrong they are. Every year, scientists find new species of animals, incredible new species that they never thought could exist. Not just a few, but thousands, they have found so many that they are still naming them.

It’s time to be amazed. Here is a list of what they have found and named for 2015.

1. The Flic-Flac Spider

This new species of spider was found in Morocco. This intriguing little guy has the amazing ability to do a handspring and cartwheel itself out of danger.

2. Crop Circle Pufferfish

For over 20 years, scientists have been trying to determine what animal or plant was making circles on the floor by Amami-Oshima coast. They finally did, meet the newest species of pufferfish. The circles are made by the male to attract female Pufferfish. The males design a nest where eggs will be laid. The crop circles made by the male puffer fish to attract the female. The crop circles made by the male puffer fish to attract the female.

3. Electrical Sea Slug

This sea slug was found near Onna Village in Japan. Scientists believe that this particular sea slug is the ‘missing link’. This sea slug falls between sea slugs that feed on corals specifically and those that feed on hydroids.

4. X-Phyla

With a look of a mushroom, this new species was found 3,200 feet off Point Hicks (Australia) on the sea floor, tiny and difficult to see. Scientists still know very little about this particular animal, which they feel is related the jellyfish, corals, and sea anemones. They hope to learn more once they can collect more specimens and conduct DNA analysis.

5. Bone House Wasp

Found typically in China, this new wasp has a unique method of protecting its offspring. When it creates nests in stems, the wasp creates cells. It lays an egg and places a dead spider in there to nourish the egg. She then seals off that particular cell and creates another in the same fashion. For the last cell, she doesn’t use a spider but rather uses dead ant bodies. The ants’ bodies release a chemical that covers the scent of the wasp larvae, protecting them from predators. The nest cell this incredible insect builds to protects its larvae.

6. Walking Stick

This new walking stick insect that has been found in the Tam Dao National Park in Vietnam is not the longest. Even at 9 inches, scientists now realize, that there are numerous walking sticks that remain undiscovered and that the knowledge that scientists have about these creatures is very limited and far from being complete.

7. Fanged Frog

Found in the Sulawesi Island. This new species of frog is the only one that can reproduce ‘live’ tadpoles. Let me stress that again, live tadpoles, all other frogs species lay eggs. What remains a mystery to scientists is how these amphibians are capable of having live tadpoles. Amazing isn’t it.

8. Bracycephalus Frog

The Cloud Forests of Brazil is where scientist have found these seven new species of Braccycephalus frog. These frogs found in this area are barely 1cm long and have been found in a variety of color. They have poisonous skin that is rough, and that helps protect them from becoming another predator’s meal, the more vibrant the color, the more deadly the toxic.
