Patriotism is a virtue which can be expressed in different ways. A true patriot
tries to do something for the development of his country. Patriotism is an
inherent quality in a persond by virtue of which he loves his country and
zealously supports and defendz it and its interest. A true patriot is respected
everywhere. When we talk about patriotism the first thing comes in our mind is a
soldier who is a role model of patriotism. The model of courage, strength and
sacrifice.
One such name is Captain Waseem Uddin Razi Shaheed, the hero of tirah valley. He
was born on 29th april 1987 in Karachi. He studird in Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zaid
high school Karachi, then further completed his intermediate from Degree college
for Men Karachi. After completing his college life he got commission in Pakistan
Army and then he joined Special Services Group.
Waseem was very naughty,energetic and dreamed to become a soldier since his
childhood. When he was a child he used to hold a hanger and pretend of it was a
gun. He run around his house hiding behind furniture, under table , jumping from
the stairs, making firing sounds as he is fighting against enemy. That was his
passion which continued till his shahdat. Among his siblings he was on 3rd
number, very caring and loving person. He was an obedient son and a caring
brother. In his childhood he used to fight with his brothers and no one knows
when he will grown up he used to fight with enemy of the country.
Since his passing out he participated in many furious military actions,
including sawat operation.There was an instance that one of their company got
trapped on mountain then three SSG commandos were air droped and saved the
entire company that was the motivating moment and he joined SSG. On 25th april
2013 he got shahadat while fighting in tera valley with his unit 3 commandos. he
alonged with 25 jawan’s tried to clear and compound at Inzar gul. He was shot
couple of times and embraced Shahadat and become a true example of patriotism.
He was a true patriot and spend his entire for his passion and the love for his
motherland. There are so many unsung heros like Waseem who devoted and sacrifice
their lives for this nation. History will remember their passion and love
forever in golden words.
