Despite of countless miseries
and sufferings in the lives of Pakistani Nation , there was a hope that peace
could be restored in the country after years of bloodshed following 9/11
incident. There was a hope as dialogue between government and Pakistan Tehrik e
Taliban (TTP) who was responsible for terrorism is successfully proceeding. One
sign of its success is that they declared ceasefire for one month, so people
were not expecting any suicide bomb blast or any other terrorist activity till
recent. But there has been witnessed a bomb blast on Wednesday in a fruit market
of Islamabad killing 19 people. This was an alarming situation because it could
affect negotiation process and also points out to the involvement of another
force in terrorism in capital. Moreover citizens of Islamabad were still in
anxiety of court blast, killing 16 people so they were not ready to encounter
another horrible incident.
The UBA (United Baloch Army) have accepted the responsibility declaring it a
response against Pakistan Army and intelligence`s operation in Balochistan. This
fact and a statement of TTP media advisor Shahid ullah Shahid have cleared the
position of TTP but the point is that if terrorist groups could successfully
blast in the capital despite of strict security measures then how could one
expect of peace elsewhere?
The government should utilize integrated management programme and channelize all
means for cure of terrorism. Also there must be coordination among intelligence
agencies to cope up with such situations,
