Airbus A340-500

This aircraft developed and produced by the European aerospace company Airbus is a long-range, wide body commercial passenger jet airliner. The plane has four high-bypass turbofan engines and three-bogie main landing gears as distinctive features. It has a range of up to 9,000 nautical miles helps in long non-stop route operations. This aircraft can seat up to 375 passengers. Lufthansa and Air France are the biggest operators of this model.


Airbus A350-900

It is a long-range, twin engine wide body jet airliner developed by European manufacturer Airbus. The aircraft’s both fuselage and wing structures made primarily of carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer. As the member of A350 XWB family of aircrafts, this airplane offers comfort for passengers and optimum revenue potential and operating efficient to the operators. It accommodates 325 passengers in a standard three-class arrangement. The unit cost of this aircraft is about US$308.1 million and the well renowned Qatar Airways are its primary users.


 

Boeing 777-300

Boeing Commercial Airplanes have developed and manufactured this long-range wide-body twin engine jet airliner. It is the world’s largest twinjet and has a seating capacity of about 386 passengers in standard three-class arrangement. It is powered by GE90, Pratt &Whitney PW4000 or Rolls Royce Trent 800 engines. Being more fuel-efficient than other wide-body jets, this model is one of Boeing’s Best Selling aircraft models.


 

Antonov An-22

It is a military transport, strategic airlifter aircraft designed by the Antonov Design Bureau in the Soviet Union. It is the world’s largest turbo-pop powered aircraft ever. There are four turboprop engines each driving a couple of contra-rotating propellers. Currently, this airplane has seen widespread use in several military and humanitarian airlift operations.


Antonov An-124

It is a transport aircraft designed by the Antonov Design Bureau in Ukraine. It is the largest military transport aircraft in the world and one of the world’s highest aircraft gross weight production cargo airplanes. Its NATO reporting name is Condor which is used in the rescue and airlifting operations. The plane’s unit cost is about US$70-100 million. Presently it is being operated by Antonov airlines and Volga-Dnepr Airlines.


Airbus A340-600

This is a long-range, wide-body, four-engine commercial passenger jet airliner produced by the European Aerospace company Airbus in 1993. It has a range of 7,900 nautical miles and is powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 500 engines. It has a fuel-saving Aerodynamic design with weight saving composite structures. The plane offers the operators unparalleled space, comfort with a seating capacity of 350 passengers in the typical three-class arrangement and about 475 in high density seating.


Boeing 747-400

This wide body, commercial jetliner often recognised by the distinctive upper deck along the forward part of the aircraft. It is the most common passenger version of Boeing 747. This aircraft has a high-subsonic cruise speed of Mach 0.85 with a range of 7,670 nautical miles. It can accommodate 416 passengers in a standard three-class layout and about 660 passengers in a high-density one-class arrangement. British Airways are the largest operators of this model. The unit cost of this aircraft is about US$234 million.


Boeing 747-8i

It is a wide-body commercial jet airliner developed and produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It has lengthened fuselage, redesigned wings than the predecessors of 747 family. It has a passenger capacity of 467 in a three class arrangement. It has a range of about 8000 Nautical miles and a cruising speed of Mach 0.855. It is the largest commercial aircraft built in the United States. The unit cost of the airplane is about US$ 379 million.
