The UN General Assembly will meet on monday to discuss the situation in Syria.

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights will brief the member States on the latest developments in Syria. The 193 member General Assembly will also discuss the report of UN Human Rights Council about human rights abuses in Syria. According to reports more than five thousand people have been killed since the uprising against Bashar al Assad regime in Syria.
