Chancellor Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) ZA
Nizami has urged the faculty to reciprocate to the facilities being offered to
them by the university.
“Enhance the quality of your performance and academic activities on the campus,”
he said while addressing the faculty members before the start of the new
semester on Sunday. Nizami said he would monitor the teachers’ performance
through surprise visits and told them to spare sufficient time for the students’
counselling.
Earlier, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Saiyid Nazir Ahmed called for improving the
teaching methodology and urged the teachers to ensure that the students fully
grasped what they taught them. He told the teachers to thoroughly prepare their
lectures and make it interesting for the students.
He emphasised upon maintaining discipline on the campus and said that both
students and teachers must attend the classes in their proper uniform and gown
with complete punctuality. Dean of Engineering Prof Dr Najeeb Siddiqui said that
the proposal for changes in the syllabus must be submitted to the Course
Coordination Committee as there was always a room for improvement.
