ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan on Friday wrote a letter to the BlackBerry manufacturer Research in Motion (RIM) requesting for data from the handsets allegedly used by Mansoor Ijaz and former ambassador Husain Haqqani, sources told.
The Memogate commission headed by the Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa of Balochistan High Court will resume its hearing today.
All respondents have started to arrive at the Islamabad High Court for the hearing of the case.
Justice Isa, in yesterday’s hearing, admonished Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir and Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq for concealing the fact that the Canadian High Commission in Pakistan had refused to forward a request from Islamabad to RIM to provide the Blackberry data.
